Effects of Non-Linearity in the Variation of Pinning Potential with Current-Density on Magnetic Flux Creep in High and Low Tc Superconductors
A theoretical analysis is presented of the effects on magnetic flux creep of non-linearity in the relation between the activation energy required for the depinning of magnetic flux and the current density. The non-linearity results in an apparent temperature dependence of the depinning energy as deduced by the conventional methods of analysis of flux-creep data. The discussion is illustrated with data for YBa2Cu3O7 and Nb3Sn.
