Free Energy Surfaces in the Superconducting Mixed State
The free energy surface for Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3O10 has been measured as a function of temperature and magnetic field to determine the fundamental thermodynamic properties of the mixed state. The change in free energy, G(H)-G(O), is found to be linear in temperature over a wide range indicating that the specific heat is independent of field.
