Current Situation of R&D on Superconductive Power Application Technologies Carried out by Engineering Research Association for Superconductive Generation Equipment and Materials

Abstract

The feasibility studies on superconducting generator and superconductors were carried out by Super-GM in 1987. Conceptual designs of two types of superconducting generators, two types of refrigeration systems, and superconductor for each type of generator were conducted. Study on the measuring methods for characteristics of oxide superconducting materials was also conducted.
