Abstract

High-Tc superconducting thin tapes were prepared by pyrolysis using organic acid salts. 2-ethylhexanoates of Y, Ba, and Cu etc. were used as the starting materials. The organic acids were dissolved in a mixed solvent at suitable metal concentration, and mixed at suitable metal ratio.

The mixed organic acid was dropped on substrates and heated. Several kinds of substrates, yttria-stabilized zirconia, MgO, and metal foils such as Ag, stainless steel, invar etc. were used. We obtained superconducting thin films of about 5μm thick on metal foil.
