Raman Study of High-Tc Superconductor Bi0.7Pb0.3SrCaCu1.8Oy
High-Tc superconductor Bi0. 7Pb0. 3SrCaCu1. 8Oy with the zero resistivity temperature Tc(end) of 11 OK has been synthesized by sintering method and characterized by Raman spectroscopy in the frequency range between 200cm-1 and 1000cm-1. Two or more broad scattering have been observed at 450–700 cm-1 region. Wavelength-dependence of these scattering have been measured. Polarization-dependent Raman spectra of 2μmΦ area of one platelike crystal have also been measured with Raman microscope in the frequency range between 800cm-1and 950cm-1.
