Abstract
The design of curves and surfaces plays an essential role in the construction of 3D objects for image synthesis. Although many objects may be constructed by assembling geometric shapes like cubes, spheres, or pyramids, most objects have a free-form shape, e.g., human faces, car bodies, airplanes, shoes, clothes, clouds, mountains.
