Abstract
Buildings may be easily simulated using a computer. Flight simulators were one of the earliest applications of computer graphics, and most CAD systems are used to model machinery and circuits. However, specialists in computer graphics have from the beginning been attracted to the possibility of creating 3D images involving natural phenomena. Yet, natural phenomena are surely the most difficult objects to synthesize by computer.
