Abstract
XCAD(expansible CAD system) is a high performance CAD system which supports superior features based on the new ideas and techniques. The system is designed for mechanical drawings and it is implemented on UNIX1 based engineering workstations. This paper describes the following new ideas and techniques:
-
(1)
expansible and flexible inverse Polish notation language (kain, 1972)
-
(2)
full automatic dimensioning
-
(3)
multi modeling
-
(4)
masking
which allow users to produce drawings more efficiently.
