Abstract

Computer animation provides the next leap in extending and enhancing the engineer’s ability to communicate with others. This is a concise overview of the advantages, uses, and features available in computer animation. The discussion covers the areas such as design, sales, product litigation, advertising, and entertainment where computer animation can and is being used. The features discussed include site “walk-thru,” object examination, mechanisms, vehicle dynamics, structural behavior, and pilot/driver/ operator trainers.
