Abstract

In this chapter we discuss how to represent various types of geometric elements mathematically by using homogeneous coordinates and coefficients (more generally Plucker coordinates and coefficients). These types include flat sets1), simplices, curves and surfaces, polygons and polyhedra. More detailed discussions on curves and surfaces will be given in Chapters 10 and 11 respectively.

As for flat set, see Section 4.4
