Vascularized Metatarsal Graft in the Rabbit

Since the first report by Taylor et al. in 1975 [1] on vascularized fibula grafts, this technique has achieved widespread clinical application in conditions such as congenital or acquired pseudoarthrosis, traumatic bone defects, and reconstruction after tumor resection. From October 1976 to May 1992, we treated 117 cases with vascularized fibula grafts, and satisfactory results were obtained [2].
