Abstract
Because of the invisibility of knowledge, we cannot still find any concrete methodology for measuring knowledge sharing in organizations. For the company that has already introduced an IT-driven knowledge database, a new way to address this problem needs to be made.
This paper proposes a simulation method to evaluate organizational knowledge sharing. We express organizational knowledge sharing through modeling of knowledge acquisition, storing and reuse, and derive superiority conditions for the personalization strategy and the codification strategy. Considering the results of simulation, we make a recommendation for knowledge sharing in organizations.
