Abstract
Complete replacement of all hairs on the human head with new hairs, through the hair cycle, takes about 5–7 years. The anagen stage lasts several years, the catagen a few weeks, and the telogen several months. Other hair cycles, such as those for the eyelash and the axilla, average 150 and 123 days, respectively (Fig. 7.1).
