Trial Treatment of Androgenetic Alopecia with Oxidizing Agents (Inaba and Inaba 1984)

  • Chapter
Androgenetic Alopecia

Abstract

Inaba presented his original hypothesis of how hair is generated in Science, the Japanese-language edition of Scientific American (Inaba 1981). One physician informed him that new growth of hair had been observed after permanent waving. The reader reported new hair generating between thin hairs when the scalp hair was permed directly and lightly. Later, Inaba found that treatment of baldness has been carried out at a few research centers using this method.
