Summary

Factor loadings are often calculated by principal component analysis. Then, the loadings calculated with some eigenvalues in descending order are interpreted. In the present paper, we show that this procedure is not always an appropriate method; some such numerical examples and corresponding analytical results are presented for some six-variable two-component model.
