Abstract
Congenital vertebral anomalies induce a variety of spinal deformities such as congenital scoliosis, congenital kyphosis or lordosis, spina bifida, spinal instability, diastematomyelia, spinal stenosis, and Klippel-Feil syndrome. The development of these congenital vertebral malformations and their natural history and outcome are still poorly understood.
