Cyclic voltammetry is a powerful method for the estimation of relative reactivity of various nucleophilic agents towards perfluoroalkyl halides. This method can be applied also for monitoring the reactivity of aromatic compounds towards trifluoromethyl radicals, generated by the electrochemical oxidation of the trifluoromethanesulfinate anion.
