Abstract
Electrochemical reduction of alicyclic vinyl triflates (1) under an atmospheric pressure of carbon dioxide with a Pt cathode and a Mg anode resulted in the cleavage of an O-S bond of 1 to give the corresponding β-keto carboxylic acids (2) in good yields.
