Abstract

Inactive, even though innocuous enantiomers are “isomeric ballast” [1]. Clinical studies of absorption and metabolism of racemic drugs lead according to Ariens [1] to “highly sophisticated scientific nonsence”, as individual stereo isomers can have different pharmacological, toxicological, metabolic and pharmacokinetic properties.
