Catalytic Activity of Vitamin B12 Derivative Having Amino Acid Residues

Abstract

A novel vitamin B12 derivative, [Cob(II)7Phe(OBzl)]C1O4, having phenylalanine residues on the peripheral side chains was prepared. [Cob(II)7Phe(OBz1)]C1O4 catalyzed effectively 1,2-migration of the carboxylic ester in 1-bromo-2,2bis(ethoxycarbonyl)propane at —1.0 V vs. Ag/AgC1 under irradiation conditions.
