Abstract
We are interested in the design and synthesis of chain-breaking antioxidants. Early examples are the tetrahydroindenoindoles (1), which form stable radical cations and which are recycled in vivo by ascorbate. Other compounds of interest are the benzoxazine (2) and the Astra compound (3).
