Application of Fuzzy Theory to Home Appliances
The “Aisaigo (Loved Wife) Day Fuzzy” fully automatic washing machine, which went on sale in February 1990, triggered a flood of applications of fuzzy technology to all kinds of household electrical appliances and video equipment throughout the rest of 1990. “Fuzzy” won the gold medal as the outstanding new word of 1990, and Japan was engulfed in a“Fuzzy boom”.
