Abstract

Determining the long-term position and design of a hairline during a hair restoration project is probably the most important aspect of the procedure. You can almost say it carries the operator’s signature, much like any piece of art. It is important to identify the appropriate facial and scalp landmarks and take into account current and future hair loss patterns when settling on a final design. There are a number of techniques that can be used to arrive at the appropriate design to make the patient look good, not just in the present but also in the future no matter what further hair loss they suffer.
