Part of the book series: New Frontiers in Regional Science: Asian Perspectives ((NFRSASIPER,volume 6))

Abstract

Although clustering processes are a relatively new phenomenon in Poland, regional cluster structures have already emerged in almost all regions. They are closely linked with the profile and economic specificity of regional economies. Regional clusters can be identified in almost all sectors of Poland’s economy, including agriculture and food processing industry. There are indications that they are increasingly important for regional development and growth through making local and regional business establishments, including farms, more competitive and thus profitable.
