Abstract

Some materials possess a magnetic moment that causes magnetic phenomena, when an external magnetic flux density is applied to those materials. These materials are classified as magnetic materials. Commonly used permanent magnets are made of magnetic materials, and possess a magnetic moment even without an external magnetic flux density.
