Abstract
Telangiectasias are dilated subepithelial blood vessels, endoscopically appearing as red dots or patches from a distance. They can occur in any part of the gastrointestinal tract. Almost all lesions in the oropharynx, hypopharynx, and esophagus are asymptomatic, whereas telangiectasias in the small and large intestines can hemorrhage repeatedly and are a cause of gastrointestinal bleeding.
