Abstract
In this chapter, the X-ray satellite Suzaku and its detectors, the XIS and the HXD, used in the present thesis are described emphasizing the broad-band spectral coverage and the high sensitivity on apparently extended emission. Conventional X-ray spectral analysis method adopted in the following chapters is also explained for those who are not familiar with it.
