To date, it has often been pointed out that understanding the biopsychosocial view is important in psychiatry. I have strived to carry out psychiatric treatment, education, and research respecting this view. Having said that, it is not easy to be familiar with all of the specialized areas involved, such as biology (physiology), psychology, and sociology. Over time, I chose the directions for my studies in psychiatric epidemiology and entered the field of social psychiatry.
