Abstract
The matter of course that manufacturing should follow the instruction specified by the drawing is one of the fundamentals for manufacturing quality control. However, to the author’s knowledge, due to the advancement of mechanization, it seems that control charts are not necessarily utilized to the full extent by a number of enterprises in their process control. In recognition of the importance of a scientific process control as the fundamental of quality control, the author proposes “TPS-QAS”. TPS-QAS is a new scientific process control method with so-called intelligence control charts that utilizes the “Inline-Online SQC” that exploits IT and SQC through the application of the “Science SQC”. This paper demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed process control by quoting the demonstrative cases at Toyota Motor Corporation.
