Summary
Quite huge amounts of less-utilized bioresources are distributed in every site of forest and agricultural production; these include small-diameter low-grade wood, agricultural residues, and so on. Although advanced technologies are needed, those resources essentially have the same potential as high-grade wood as raw materials for the production of wood materials, chemicals, and energy. Better utilization of these less-utilized bioresources is particularly important to save the natural forest from improper development. Those materials should be utilized for local people and the local community with special attention to the local and global environment.
