Abstarct

In compiling an audio-visual ethogram of Mahale chimpanzees, we mostly followed principles used by Nishida et al. (1999). First, we tried to make the ethogram maximally inclusive. Second, we distinguished functional definitions from ‘anatomical’ ones.
