Das wesentliche Ziel der Behandlung des frischen Herzinfarktes ist es, die Durchblutung des Herzmuskels möglichst rasch zu verbessern, um zu verhindern, dass sich der Infarkt vergrößert, sich eine Herzmuskelschwäche entwickelt und gefährliche Herzrhythmusstörungen entstehen.
