Zusammenfassung

Altindustrielle Regionen stehen vor der Herausforderung, neben einer nachhaltigen regionalen Entwicklung gleichzeitig eine Verjüngung und Erneuerung der Wirtschaftsstruktur realisieren zu müssen Ansatzpunkt der Wirtschaftspolitik können dabei nur die bestehenden Strukturen in der Region sein. Notwendig sind dann eine erhöhte Innovationsfähigkeit und Diversifizierungsmöglichkeiten in Unternehmen und in der regionalen Wirtschaft.
