Abstract

The machining of metal components had been done in the past by using conventional machine tools like lathes, milling machines, etc. and the accuracy of the work done was dependent on the skill and experience of the operator. A lot of time was taken for tool setting, tool changing, etc. The result was that these machines were unsuitable for large scale production
