Sowohl Netzwerk- wie auch Stakeholder–Ansatz beruhen meines Erachtens auf einem kommunikativen Denkansatz. Bei der Beschreibung der „Netzwerk–Perspektive“ betont NOHRIA (1992) die Bedeutung der „Analyse der Beziehungen“ eines Unternehmens, aus denen sich seine Umwelt zusammensetzt (ebd.: 6), was auch für das Stakeholder–Management eine wesentliche Grundlage ist (vgl. Kapitel 7.1.2 Von Planung als Einschränkung zur Planung als Erweiterung): „In sum, a network perspective on organization–environment relations pushes beyond abstract notions of environmental uncertainty, resource dependencies, and institutional pressure. It seeks to locate the precise source of these environmental forces by analyzing the pattern of relationship among the organisations that make up the environment.“
