Abstract

The trends and hypes in the software market are very fast and changeful. Four years ago in 2001 the topic was e-business, a process integration issue. In 2002 the trends were CRM and SCM, two process and application issues. Last year in 2004 the top theme was J2EE and .NET, two architecture and technology issues. The next new theme at the horizon is arising and will focus the mobile technology and suitable applications.
