Abstract

In addition to the theoretical and methodological contributions, this study has several interesting managerial implications.

The increasing globalization of the world economy has put immense pressure on traditionally national companies to operate on a multinational level. At the same time, it is becoming more difficult to control these large and increasingly complex organizations. Thus, managers are relying more and more on standardized information systems. The question is whether or not these standardized information systems should or should not be adapted to the local culture.
