Auszug
Nach den 1991 eingeleiteten Reformen zur sozialen Markwirtschaft hat der Standort Indien für ausländische Investoren zunehmend an Attraktivität gewonnen. Mit seinen 1,1 Mrd. Einwohnern und einem hohen Wachstum des Bruttoinlandsprodukts birgt Indien ein enormes wirtschaftliches Potenzial (vgl. Auswärtiges Amt 2005b). Daher wird Indien nach Einschätzung der Entwicklungsorganisation der Vereinten Nationen hinter China und den USA in den kommenden Jahren die meisten ausländischen Direktinvestitionen aufweisen (vgl. VOIGT 2005).
