In der Literatur wird auf das Wechselspiel von Kooperation und Wettbewerb, sofern überhaupt, dahingehend rekurriert, daß beide Aktionsmodi in einem einzigen Wort amalgamiert werden — zum Beispiel in den Begriffskonzepten “Coopetition” (Brandenburger/ Nalebuff (1997) und Ullrich (2004)) und “Koopkurrenz” (Reiß/Beck (2000)). Ungeachtet der inhaltlichen (Fein-)Justierung in diesen Begriffskonzepten wird diese sprachliche Reduktion auf eine Dimension (i.e. auf ein Wort) im Rahmen dieser Arbeit nicht vorgenommen. Es wird postuliert, daß beide Verhaltensmuster parallel existieren und in einem Dualismus manifestiert sind. In Entsprechung dieses Postulats wird hier von Kooperation und Wettbewerb gesprochen.
