Gesundheit wird in der Öffentlichkeit und in verschiedenen Wissenschaftsdisziplinen seit langem kontroversiell diskutiert. Zwar sind sich die meisten Beteiligten über die Kosten von Nicht-Gesundheit weit gehend einig; was Gesundheit ist, wie sie zu erreichen ist und wer dafür zuständig ist, ist jedoch nicht konsensfähig.
