Von der Effizienz zur Produktivität

Der Effizienzbegriff findet in der betriebswirtschaftlichen Literatur sehr heterogene Verwendung. Die Ursache ist darin zu sehen, dass bislang kein Konsens darüber hergestellt werden konnte, was Effizienz denn eigentlich bedeutet. Demzufolge liegt in der gesamten Literatur, die den Effizienzbegriff verwendet, weder eine einheitliche Definition noch eine gemeine Verwendung des Effizienzbegriffes vor.25 Aus der Vielzahl der Definitionsansättze lässt sich insofern aber ein Klassifikationsschema bilden, als dass der Effizienz zumindest in den einzelnen Theorien der Betriebswirtschaftslehre einheitliche Erklärungsansätze zugrunde gelegt werden.
