Abstract

At the outset of my analysis I addressed the motion picture industry’s value chain and the production process theoretically. I described strategic decisions made by movie production companies and discovered that the prevailing form of movie production organization is the project network, a specific form of the business web. I described the impact, an implementation of the MPEG-7 standard might have, in describing media content during the movie production process.
