Die integrierte Versorgung im Gesundheitswesen stellt an die IT-Architektur der jeweiligen Einrichtungen neue Anforderungen. Erfolgsfaktoren für Computer Integrated Healthcare können am Beispiel Krankenhaus demonstriert werden, da in solchen Institutionen oftmals eine umfangreiche Anzahl heterogener Informationssysteme identifiziert werden kann. Die darin enthaltenen Informationen sind so zu verknüpfen, dass sie entsprechend dem informationslogistischen Prinzip den Leistungserbringern zur Verfügung stehen. Dabei sind jedoch die besonderen Charakteristika von Krankenhäusern zu berücksichtigen. Neue Impulse für die Bestimmung der Erfolgsfaktoren für CIH liefert dabei der Vergleich von IT in Industriebetrieben und in Krankenhäusern. Abschlieβend werden Implikationen für die im Entstehen befindliche TelematikInfrastruktur beschrieben.
