Abstract

With regard to telecommunications operators calls for improved regulatory certainty associated with high investments in next generation broadband infrastructure and the ongoing scholarly debates on the complex of wholesale regulation, unbundling and investment behaviour, this thesis aimed to provide explorative insights on the relationship between strategic investment decisions and regulation. The analysis pursued a positive research aim, which was necessary for developing an overall comprehension on the complex under observation, and thus to be able to develop hypotheses and deduce policy recommendations.
