Abstract

This thesis investigates benefits, barriers, and critical drivers of PSM evolution from transactional support function to an integrated strategic role. Insights are drawn both from theoretical discussion in chapters 2 to 4, as well as an empirical study discussed in chapter 5. The following, final chapter summarizes the results of this thesis, provides research conclusions for both researchers and practitioners, and conducts a brief overall evaluation of the research.
