Soziale Interaktion bedeutet ein aufeinander abgestimmtes Handeln von Individuen in einer Gruppe, einem Unternehmen oder einer Gesellschaft. Eine spezielle, zielgerichtete Form der Interaktion ist Kooperation (Zusammenarbeit). Da eine erfolgreiche Kooperation Abstimmung und Konsensfindung voraussetzt, basiert sie auf der Kommunikation. Insofern sind Kooperation und Kommunikation zwei Aspekte der sozialen Interaktion, die nun nacheinander erläutert werden.
