The relationship between internationalization activities and firm performance has been the subject of extensive discussion in the strategy and international business literature over the course of the last thirty years. Unfortunately, with close to a hundred studies, little consensus has emerged among researchers as to the nature of the relationship between internationalization and firm performance.
