Eine Analyse der M&A Transaktionen des Jahres 2005 in Deutschland zeigt, dass mehr als 40% sämtlicher Transaktionen durch Finanzinvestoren getätigt wurden. Diese Zahl bestätigt eindrucksvoll den Bedeutungszuwachs, den Finanzinvestoren in den letzten Jahren erlangt haben, denn im Jahr 2001 lag die Beteiligung von Finanzinvestoren am Gesamttransaktionsmarkt noch unter 15%.1
