Neue gesetzliche Regelungen zur Umsetzung des EU-Rechts führten Mitte der 90er Jahre zu einer Erweiterung des betrieblichen Präventionsauftrages, unter anderem durch das Sozialgesetzbuch SGB VII, das neue Arbeitsschutzgesetz oder das Wiedereingliederungsmanagement nach § 84 SGB IX.
