Zusammenfassung
Eine Säule der Liquiditätsbereitstellung ist der Interbanken-Geldmarkt. Während der Finanzkrise kam es in diesem Markt zu Liquiditätsengpässen mit gravierenden weltweiten Folgen. Bei Interbankengeschäften leihen sich Banken gegenseitig Geld zum Zwecke der Refinanzierung. Vorausgesetzt wird dabei die Bonität des jeweiligen Geschäftspartners.
